Got toms tune, now need some advice on changing stuff

So i got tom's 87 octane tune (for the time being till my tank empties so i can fill with 91 lol) and its great!!

I was looking through the manual and you can change the shift points, firmness and stuff. Beings i have an automatic this is for me, my questions are as follows:

1) Does anyone know what the stock firmness is set at? the range on the xcal is from 1-4, unless of course they're talking about the gears...then i'm a little more confused as to how much it actually changes it lol. also what is safe for a stock tranny?

2) lastly, what does everyone have their shift points set at?

i would talk to tom about how hight the psi in your lines need to be. also you need to set your shifts to the point you stop making good power. that is different for all cars.

well i spoke with tom, the psi all depends on the person.

as for the shift points, i'm a little puzzled how im going to figure that out lol. should i have a friend sit in the car with me and i floor it and he sees when he shifts (speed wise) then i adjust accordingly?
