Most people don't realize a lot of those slides aren't done with hand brake, a lot are done with a Scandinavian Flick... (Some are hand brake obvi.) Great video, makes me want to always rock a FWD car.

actually in rally, the handbreak is almost NEVER used unless you have an overall turn greater than 90 degrees. you can also get very sideways by trailbreaking then lifting in the turn. alot of that is done as well around the less sharp turns.

damn fine driving....... I always enjoy driving/skills like this.

Rallies=best drivers in the world

random note (but on topic about wrong calls) I was playing dirt and had my friend call it for me. needless to say, right 2 is NOT a left 1. LOL. (big deal, but still..... just think if you had a brain fart doing the real thing with someone like Ragnotti. NOT GOOD.)

In a properly prepared rally car the co-driver's seat position is very low and almost in the back seat area. So low it's hard to see out the windows....as in "what you can't see won't hurt you". Believe it or not, far more drivers get hurt than co-drivers.

first off: WOW!

second off... Geezer you make a good point. i also thought the co-driver was lower for a lower overall CG. and i watched jari matti's spill off a cliff last year in.... i believe it was portugal or something? there were a lot of cliffs and he misjudged and rolled down one til he got t-boned by a tree. him and his co-driver walked away, those rally cars are some really tough stuff.
