tom what would you recommend for this???:
if i built the bottom end and let is sit for a week and a half then built the top end...is it mad to let the bottom end sit or should i be fine on a short time like that??? easier on the bank account...

many places to buy the o2 bung , the engine sitting for a bit is fine , I would get some plastic bacs and put some papertowels in the bottomg to absorb the moisture , seal it good and keep it dry , can sit months this way

^^^ agreed. the internals will rust up in a hurry if they are exposed to moisture. it wont do much harm to get a little surface rust if you can clean them before you put everything together. i left my valve cover off for a week when i was doing the timing belt and the cams rusted up something horrible. just keep the moisture out from the start and you wont have to worry with it.
hey i have another question tom. iminhell started a how-to in zetec chat concerning spark plugs and put up a picture of how the NGK plugs are too short to reach all the way into the combustion chamber. i didnt notice that they were shorter than the autolites i was running. any chance i can get you to peek at 2 datalogs with the only difference being the plugs next week to see how big of an impact that makes?

Shouldnt be running NGK anyway , there worthless
A datalog wouldnt show a short plug as much as a dyno would , a shorter plug reduces the engine timing some Tom
