Throttle Body

i was just looking into getting a new tb and found this bbk 65mm.

http://www.andysautosport.com/ford/2...p00064341.html

i was curious, what is the size of the stock throttle body? is this tb worth buying and will it lead to more hp?

thanks

From what I have read a bigger tb leads to better pedal response and a very small hp gain.

Is it worth it? To me it would be due to the fact of na upgrade being minimal.

There is no gains other than a more responsive throttle. It can shift the powerband as well which can be adjust with CAM gears or in the SVT case a exhaust cam gear. Is it worth it? I've had it on every car I've own and like the touchy feeling it gives.

not to mention it wont fit a svt. that is for a zetec if im not mistaken. i just glanced over it for a few secs and i didnt see anywhere about it saying for svt.(regular zetec 2.0 and svt are diff) for that price you can pic up a 67mm off cfm or for less you can find someone selling a used one on here. i had a 65mm before they came out with the 67mm. your not gonna get a major increase in peak power but your car will respond and have a little more pep as oppose to the feel of the crappy svt stock TB. if you get a chance look inside a svt TB and youll see what i mean. is fords design to help make the car easier to drive in traffic and for novice drivers. its first nearly 20% of the butterflys movement is restricted by a raise in the side of the TB which makes for the crappiest throttle response. i say get it if you want your car to respond better like i should have came from the factory. but if your wanting it for a huge HP increase then id steer from it cause you will be disappointed.

Get the cfm 67mm tb. It gives you better throttle response. Not much in hp gains and if there is any, I didn't notice it. I like the feel of it though. You will have to learn how to drive again with the throttle body because it gives such a different throttle response. I think it is well worth it if you have the extra cash.
