thermostat q

im sure i already know the answer to this one cause nothing is easy with this f'n car, but is there any difference between the reg z-tec thermostat and the one in the svt? thanks...

so what exactly is the difference...size? temp rating? im not talking about the housing btw.

My bad. I "assumed" you were talking about the housing, since every SVT owner does. I don't believe there is a difference in the t-stat itself, but if you check one of the online auto parts places, they probably have part numbers listed. You could also try the Tousley Ford website. I know they have parts pages on their website.

Looks like the thermostat on my SVT is stuck open. So in a pinch, I can just go to an auto parts store and get the thermostat for any 2L Zetec? Looked at the Tousley website but it doesn't give a P/N for this part.
