bad ass dude. I just bought some 235-40-17 Star Specs myself. Can't wait to see how bad I can botch the launch compared to you Are you doing a burnout in the water box or what?

Yeah, I spin them over about twice in the box then roll out, lock the E-brake, and burn'em down til smoke, burn for 3 seconds after first smoke, then burn forward about 10ft.

NOOOOO. dont do burn outs with street tires. with street tires all u need to do is spin thru the water to clean them. and not even that. Before i got the radials i would go around the water then just spin the tires real quick and roll up to the light.
Alot of ppl dont know that u actually hurt the performance when u heat them up. Street tires are ment to have max traction at moderate temps.
Oh. and when i launch i hold my ebrake and slip the clutch to load the driveline that way it doesnt have the huge shock up dumping the clutch. then on the third light i will begine to floor it while sliping out the clutch and dropping the ebrake all in one smooth action.

Come to the track WED. night if its not raining.

That has never worked for me with the Dunlops. If I go around the pit and just dry hop them, I will boil the tires through 1st and 2nd. If I heat 'em up good, I will hook up and run a decent pass.

no burnout = 14.20 @ 105mph (best w/ 2.42 60ft spinning like crazy)
w/ burnout = 13.52 @ 105mph (best w/ 2.16 60ft)

lol. thats why i have drag radials... i just spin thru the water with my radials. and i keep 32 psi in them lol. managed a 2.0 60 launching at 3500.

but wed. im going all out. 20-23psi in the tires, race gas, hard launch. shoot for 12's or a broken focus...

And you do that on street tires? I need to try that next week with mine... Ive been to the drags a 100 times and never even went through the water... I manage a 2.1 sixty without water pit so i wonder what ill do if i burn them in the water?Q

yes through lentech automatics.

also for autos that are not running high boost, a tune from tom and good footbraking with practice will lower those 60ft times a lot

as far as launching i slip the clutch, while steadily holding about 5,000 rpm its givin me a best 60' of 2.214 with no burnout and on some quite hard nexen's (215/45/17), thats on basicly stock power though, when lauching on a 50 shot ive managed a best of 2.233 again no burnout on the same tires slipping the clutch but starting lower in the area or 3,500 rpm, im on stock clutch so im sure its more easy to slip / control.
