Help from Autocrossers

I Have the rear Stress bar And was wondering,
Does it do any good to add it, In it's intended place??
(this is a pic of someone Else's car)

Have been told it does no real stabling..
Need help on this,
Do not know much about Suspension, and I do not need it for the look. Want it to work or I would not install
This ? is in The Suspension tread, but thought you autocrossers would be able to give good advice also
Thank you

It helps a little bit.

Changing the springs & dampers, upgraded sway bars and poly suspension bushings will do alot more to help the car corner better.

^That's what I was thinking. Put that $100 or whatever it costs toward adjustable dampers or something else. My whole Koni suspension kit, springs and yellow shocks was $700, so that's a good chunk right there.

They're saying learn to drive better.

IMO that's only so much fun for so long with a car that body rolls and nose dives more than a truck lol but it's pretty good advice.

look through the solo rule book and try to keep yourself out of SM (street mod), STS is a decent class to be in if your not going to stay stock. I know most suspension mods including poly bushings are aloud in sts, but no UDPs. But back on topic, As mentioned above it would be better to tighten other things up first before you worry about body flex, but once you get some other mods done you might notice a difference with it. Altough in my opinion not enough to bother with it.

rear stress bar would not be my first mod choice, but as a final piece in an FSP build, yes, it was worth it. It has more value in a hacthback than sedan.

lol @ this.^ ANd I'm sure no offense was meant.

IMO coilovers, or Koni dampners with some high quality springs will do a helluva lot more to improve lap times.

There has actually been a lot of contraversy over whether the rear strut tower brace bar does anything at all.

If you already have it, install it.
Then run with us @ Hershey Park, the 27-28 of this month(w/ scca) +/or the PCA autox on the 18th of April.
THEN you will know what you want YOUR car to do better.

Hope that helps.
