Fast+focus=stupid

Ok i have came to a conclusion. Hate it if you must

I will admit the focus is a good car if you leave it stock and just use it as it was intended for. A good economy vehicle. I have just made up my mind i was stupid to try to make this car fast and still reliable. If you want a fast car, buy a car that is fast stock. Trying to make a focus fast, is going to cost a lot of money, plus to keep it fast you need a lot of money to maintain it. I no sooner get one problem fixed with my car, and something else desides to go wrong. I take care of my car, do all the maintence when it needs it, ect.....

If you want the car to look good, then you made a good choice, i love how focus's look with body kits and rims, ect. And its fairly cheap to get the focus to look good.

But to restate my conclusion, if you want your focus fast and reliable, you better have the money to play. I use to be stuborn and always thought the focus would hold up, but i realize now that its just not that reliable when you start doing mods to it. If you want a fast car, buy fast car stock, thats all im saying.....

Damn, my Focus is stock w/less than 30k on it and it is a total P.O.S. I can only imagine how bad it would be if it was modded!

dude, i came up with that exact same conclusion and thats why i havnt been on the forums in a while. simply because its not worth it to invest all this money in a 4 banger. i love focus, dont get me wrong. the handling is stellar and the ride is nice and smooth, but 130hp just dont cut it on a stock car. im looking to save up my money and eventually get an 8 cylinder ls1. im thinking ws6, z28, ss, im not sure, but man those cars will put on some monster hp with any mod. my friend told me that just new headers alone on an ls1 camaro will give you 40hp. and what does a focus get you? something like 8 hp at the most? simply not worth the money or time imo.

general rule of thumb...

(fast) (cheap) (reliable)

pick 2

I don't know about you but I never bought the Focus to go fast. And I never hoped for the bolt-ons to give me an extra 100 hp. You obviously bought the wrong car and you are realizing your mis-judgement.

I'll keep smiling in mine with only 115hp at the wheels..:)

Before i could get like 12rplys in an hour.... Im just pissed with this clutch problem. I mean i spent over 1,500bucks for the flywheel, clutch, parts, labor, and turn around and have the [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]g thing give me probs after 1,500miles and i did everything i needed to.

But didn't someone reply to you that the clutch you replaced with was gonna give you problems anyway.

Didn't you get like a competition clutch/flywheel on a daily driver car?
