2005 Stock HU Removal
Sorry if this is old news, but I went to the How-To section and couldn't find anything on removing a 2005 stock head unit, so i googled around and found this picture. Would this be pretty accurate?

yes, that's it.
the only thing is I would remove that bin below the climate control and push out that trim piece from behind

yeah, this must have been the easiest AUX adapter install. I just installed an iPhone/iPod RCA adapter made by Soundgate.
 it works great and I was able to get it for around $70 via HiFiSoundConnection.

does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 05-07 radio wires??
some dumb !@# tried to steel me factory head unit, and cut the wiring ? damn-crooks

i need the wiring diagram too
have bought a chinese gps/dvd/tv player head unit to go in place of the stock unit and am about to make my first ever foray into car audio modification...... of course i cant get the flipping thing to release out the old head unit :( i tried using some ford keys bought on ebay to release the unit but it didnt work so now i dont have much of a clue how to get it out :( |
