Ok, I am just about ready to start it up. Apart from priming the oil feed is there anything I need to check/ setup? The BOV or WG or boost controller?

Just to check, I have a turbonetic's WG, the bottom feed is from my vacuum block and the other goes to the boost controller if I read the instructions correct. Do I block off the 3rd port on the boost controller or leave it open? I have the Profec type S

Anyone that can help me with the vacuum hookups? Mine is connected as follows:
From boost controller (COM) it goes to top port on Turbonetics WG.
From NC port on controller it is teed in between vacuum block and bottom port on WG.
BOV is connected to vacuum block
Fuel is connected to vacuum block as is boost gauge

Another question, do i block off the 3rd port on the boost controller (NO) or just leave it open?

that port should be left often to vent the excess pressure.

Hello guys,

Right above the lever where the IMRC cable for the intake dual runners connects is a vacuum source. After I removed my JRSC it is now open. Where is it supposed to be connected to or should I blank it off?

Thanks

Well I am at a standstill for a while. My XCAL2 took a dump and nothing is open around here for me to buy a X2 or X3 :(

Was just going to start tuning for WOT too :(

Well after a few mishaps it is finally running good. I now have a built block after it started blowing all the oil into the catch can :) and after putting in the new block the clutch plate broke. The plate holding in the springs on the clutch broke and the springs came out. Car runs fine on 10psi (for now). I will dyno it after the new clutch is broke in.

Almost done tuning, but now I have a new (niggling) issue. After a 2 hour freeway drive at a constant 70mph I now have a rather loud tac-tac sound coming from the intake side of the engine. It sounds just like a loose "tappet", but these have no rockers, just those buckets. Now I measured the valve clearance and on number 3 and 4 intake side valves and the clearance is 0.209mm. The manual I have says it should be 0.11 to 0.18. Now my question is can that small a difference cause a loud valve train noise? Only change I recently made is to change oil (Only had 10W30 available so that is what I used).

The clearances on my intake cam on my SVT were pretty big. It was extremely loud clacking. Definitely could be the culprit.

The car drives fine, it is just this loud clacking that is an issue. It's just too loud when driving. Sounds like the car is about to fall apart in traffic :)
