Springbuck's SVT Turbo build
Here is what I have:
Ceramic BBB Comp Turbo: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() IC: ![]() Piping: ![]() Gauges and parts: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Waiting on some warmer weather to start the installation. I also have the copper plugs, 180 deg thermostat, the sump with oil drain connection and 3" MAF tube. What am I missing? Thanks

That's a lot of parts. Reminds me of my build, *sigh*...
Looks like you have most everything. Do you have an oil inlet flange for the turbo? Also, do you have Tom's wastegate adapter plate for the manifold?

Sorry, yes I do to both those. I still need to get the bolts for the adapter though.

Whoops, didn't notice the oil inlet flange in the bag. It blends in very well.
What are you going to use as a vacuum source? You'll need vacuum lines (it's *really* easy to miss the little things). Not sure how much power you're going for, but you might eventually need a Kenne Bell BAP as well as a boost controller. Also, run your PCV valve to a catch can. You do not want your blow-by going back into the intake mani. I think you need a Zetec oil dipstick unless Tom said you can fit the SVT one.

I wanted to find out what is the best vacuum source to use, what do you suggest?. I do still need the vacuum lines. I do have the boost controller though. It is the Profec Type-S above. I am also upgrading the clutch so I will get that as well, but I haven't decided on which one yet. I am leaning towards the CM Stage 4 6puck. I will be running to a catch can, but I am not going for over 300 hp so I do not think I will need the BAP.

You hook it up to the PCV line that comes from your intake manifold. It gives you 6 vac sources and is a nice, clean solution. With a boost gauge, boost controller, and BOV, that's 3 right there. You can hook up your J&S as well (though I don't run mine). I've heard good stuff about CM stg 4 but I also recommend looking into South Bend stg 3. Holds 425 trq and is pretty easy to drive. I have probably 10k miles on mine and it's fine...though it's not holding real power yet, but I know that it can.
