Seat base bolster support bars...when did they go bye-bye?

all I know is I have an 01 and it poked a hole completely through my seat, it's really sharp and painful

I have some new seat covers, that are listed for a 00-01 Sedan. Do you guys think it matters if you used seats with more side bolster, thinking it would compress somewhat into the covers? I think I may just get spare seats and redo them instead of tearing mine apart.

Also, did they ever make power seats for these cars? I haven't found any evidence so far. Since my car is gonna stay slow, thought I may go a different direction with the interior, more comfort and gadgets.

It would get compressed a whole lot. The size of the sedan seat bolsters differ. Whole lot compared to zx3 seats. And only power I know of is height adjustment.

I've had 4 sets of factory seats. The ZX3 seats are closest to SVT (normal ones not Recaros) seats. I had sedan seats and they are flatter and the side bolstering is slightly less. Has far as ZX5 seats go I would assume they would be the same as the ZX3. But Assumption is the mother of all *&^* ups. Also the normal SVTF seats have a different internal bracket. I noticed in my friends SVTF when the seat flips forward there is a whole frame work that moves with it. Also the release handle is mounted high in the seat back. In normal 2 door seats the top part of the seat just flips forward and the release lever is on the side of it closer to the bottom. It's also just a lever that can break (cause the do) and the SVT's is a handle which I haven't seen break on anyones yet.
