How much paint would you need to paint an entire car? Just curious cause... umm.... ya..... >.> would 5 gal do the trick?

5 gal??? Thats like what you paint a house with. Wholly crap!!!

More like 3-4 quarts. Inexperienced people will likely need 5-6 quarts.

Now if you are stripping the car and doing the engine bay, door jams, under hood and trunk then maybe 2 gallons.

^^What Joe said, and if I was going to paint an entire car I would need to have a make shift paint booth in the garage. You don't want any little spiders (arrrhhh) or bugs to get on the wet paint. I'm seriously thinking about repainting my whole car though.

I want to repaint my car since i have all these imperfections. Either paint or primer and save for a paint job.

^^You can easily primer the whole car. In fact if you do all the body work it'll much cheaper to take it somewhere for them to paint it. It's the prep work that cost so much, it takes man hours to sand and get stuff looking good.
