I went into Ford 4 different times telling them my airbag light kept coming on and off (my car was only a year old at this point) and of course it wouldn't be on when I had time to get over there. And of course they told me they couldn't recreate it.

So one day, on my way back to work from lunch, which is in the opposite direction, it came on. I was fed up with it so I went straight over there and called work and told them I was taking a half day so I could show those jackholes the light. I got out of my car and made sure not to turn it off when I went in to get a mechanic. What do they do? Take my info tell me a mechanic will look at it and then drive it into a parking spot and turn it off!!

I was livid! Anyway, they tried to pull the we couldn't recreate it thing and I said "I don't care, keep my car for as long as you need and open her up and look at the wiring." So they kept my car for a week and then told me they still couldn't find anything.

Fast forward to the next week, it comes on again. I am furious. I call Ford's home office and I bitch. I go for the whole "this is putting me at a very high risk should I get in a wreck if this malfunctions!" angle and it works. The lady on the phone set up a time for me to meet a Ford home office representative to meet me at my crap dealership so I would have someone who would make certain the mechanics weren't being lazy POS'. Magically within a day I get a call to tell me that one of the pins in the connector for my driver side airbag was loose and not connecting properly and that they had fixed it. And so I was appeased......for 3 years. It has been on for the last year non stop and I am just too tired to deal with their bull AND my warranty is out. Bleh.

I was just reading up on this and one of the places I was reading said that this also affects the horn. Does your horn work? Is that a way to tell if that's what it is? Or did I read a retarded post?

There is a code with the "blinks". Helps narrow it down.
