Would hide the euroness a bit. But it would still work for your car. I didn't really dig the tint on my 5 so I took it off.

Will be decking my hatch soon. Have 2 options i'm looking at.
1) 5/8" mdf. Strong, won't warp so will stay flat. Can cut to make hinged access for spare. Also has other design options like being able to make a storage compartment in front of strut bar. Would need to cover with carpet. Doesn't cost much. Is kinda heavy though. Especially if I do the compartment thing. 2) Click lock laminate flooring. Has an attractive finish. Can also cut to make access for spare tire but would have a visible piano hinge since i wouldn't cover nice finish with carpet(might be able to hide hinge). Stays flat and won't warp. Is very light weight. Cannot make storage compartment so it would all be just one level. Would be easier to install. Cost about twice as much as the mdf. Would look more unique. Might be a bit more noisy since no carpet on top to help absorb sound. So those are the pros and cons of each. What do you guys think? If I can hide the hinge then I'd lean towards the laminate cuz it looks nice, is unique and is way lighter even though it would cost twice as much and might be a little noisier.

Fiberglass is too messy to do. Would look like crap. Would be way too flexible. Would also be alot more expensive to do enough layers to make it rigid enough. Would be different though.

I finally went to the dealership and priced the shifter bushing for the SVT. Got it for 10 bucks! Half the cost of ordering it from CFM. No shipping fee FTW! I put it on and holy cow there was a lot of slop from the worn out old busing. Now the only slop left is the little in the cables. Really made the feel of it fantastically better than what it was before. So now I got all the little annoying things fixed time to move on to the bigger things, such as the clutch and soldering in a new crank position sensor pigtail.

Regular euro tails as very rare. That's funny. You can get them anytime used or new so definitely not rare. Just not common here. Same as with our tails over there. I do agree tinting them defeats the purpose of having euro cuz then they would just look stock.

Light tint wouldn't black them out, so you could still see the euro-ness..
And it wouldn't defeat the purpose, since they SEPARATE the brake from the blinker. And vinyl tint is easily removable. My thought behind it is since my car is pretty much blacked out, they will stick out like the proverbial sure thumb.
