on my 01 it looks perfectly new on there, but then again, I just hit 80k miles on car last week.... It still has all the factory vacuum lines, and factory radiator/cooling hoses on the entire car..... No hoses or lines or anything has ever been changed on the entire car... for that matter, every part on the car, other then the one's i've changed are all factory from 01 when car was put together.....

I have a 175k mi on the original one , I have a feeling it will break now especially since I upgraded the radiator coolant over flow caps to higher psi ones.

Yea they been like that since the mid 80's I want to say, but it could be earlier than that since the Lima 4 cyl. has been around for ever. Also that make the cost of a tune double in price lol

Yes regular focus end links are the same as normal foci. Don't change you outer tie rods unless you plan on getting a alignment done. Have you priced all those parts from Rockauto?
Sorry to hear they're messing with ya when you're already under the line financially. I hope it will get better for ya. Why don't you take some part-time as a mechanic ? :)

If you refer to that deal I linked - no I didn't compare to Rockauto cause this kit includes strut mounts that I already have so I just posted it for others to see in case they need it.

I did tho compare by the parts I need offer from Rockauto to O'riley who have Moogs links, and also to CarQuest who have Raybestos.

And of course Rockauto has it cheaper, but O'Riley and CarQuest are just around the corner.

I did read a lot about it, and people advise that Front Knuckle To Hub Bolt should not be messed around, that it should be torqued to 250ft lb, and only reused up to 2 times. So that's why I want to change as much as possible at once. With one weekend dedicated to rear, and other weekend to front of my car. All the bushings there are in terrible shape and making noises on my SVT, I'd have to change all of em - doing end links, and the bushings which hold rear sway bar should be easy and cheap, the ball joints shouldn't be tough either - but on the other hand there are control arms where I would need a press and a lot of time to swap the bushings, so I'd better buy whole new parts, but it isn't cheap... and also there are the bushings for the front sway bar which require one to drop sub frame in order to get there, and I know it ain't a game there and one can really get hurt so I'm not sure If i'm ready to take on it yet.

So as you can see.... a lot of dilemmas, little time, and even less money.... oh they joys of owning SVT :P

Wish I had my SPI still around, at least I had something to get to work in case I mess up install on SVT and can't finish by monday morning.

I know what ya mean.... Suck's u got called off tonight, but the bright side, u have a job and are able to work.... I havent worked in almost 2 yrs... I know cars inside and out, like back of my hand, but I cant work as a mechanic, due to my back injury, which I use to work as a GS Tech/Mechanic Helper for several years.... Cars have always been my life/passion....

that would help, a lot, I do appreciate it, I'm just not sure I'd have a means of transportation to get up North to where you live, from SW Houston where I live, I will check and let you know. I say that because I imagine the job would take a lot of time and would have to be spread over two days.
I do have some tools that I had to buy for previous maintenance jobs on my car, but I know that I'm missing for example the socket for Knuckle To Hub Bolt, and I'm sure some other necessities would come up as I work on it, just as it always does.

Well, to my defense, before owning SVT the only tools I had were for precise electronics, and I had absolutely no knowledge about cars.

BTW, the alignment - that's one of the reasons I want to do as much as I can at once, because every change with those parts can mess up the alignment so, and I don't wanna drive car for weeks holding back alignment till i change all the parts.

It wouldn't take that long at all. I swapped the whole hub on my SVT easily. Well besides me messing up the threads on the axle which caused me to have to replace the axle as well. But that was from hitting it with a normal hammer and not a dead blow hammer to free it from hub.
