its not hard at all to replace the boot.... it might just be the clamp, it might of broke or come loose, which is making the grease fly out... if so, just need a new/better clamp.... run u finger around that boot and see if u feel any gashes/slits/holes.... and check the clamp and see if its loose or moves pretty easily, u shouldnt be able to move it at all....

oh.. and gearbox... nothing like trying to get good gearbox for this car

The SVT is a high maintenance car. I wouldn't recommend it to the average car buyer, it's more of a enthusiast's car. Replacing the axle is easy, or you could repack the boot, it's up to you. I also know how you feel, I'm needing more and more things for mine.

guys, especially Paul :D, hehe, well that tensioner as you may still remember was kinda loose and moving a lot after we finished working on it, and it still does, BUT it has it's moments when the fracking pin stops perfectly in alignment, I know because every day i'm looking under the hood and checking the timing belt and the tensioner. Today is gonna be the third time it sits in perfect alignment, it will allow me to idle it, and rev it without moving out of its place..... but it will move if i drive it around, eventually.
So I was wondering ... what if .... what iffff...... i'd just try to screw in the bolt a little tighter while it sits in that perfect alignment, do you think it could work or i may frack the timing again ?

if the timing is set, i dont see y tighting down a bolt would throw it out of timing.... if it does try to move, then entire timing system will move together, but it would still be timed, be no different then turning crank by hand, everything moves together.... unless im reading something wrong or missing something....

DO NOT tighten it any more. You will break it off or strip it, trust me I got on it on the tight enough . The tensioner is just moving under the load from the belt. The fact that it goes back to normal is good, it's probably no where near has bad has we first thought it was. I guess it moved out little when we doubled check the exhaust cam gear to make sure it was tight. When we did that it put more of a load on it than the motor does itself. I think you'll be alright but you are doing great by checking it every day . One day we'll tackle it and re time it again, could probably do that when we do your axle
