Well I can tell that is a passenger side inboard CV boot. Generally if that has been going on for a while it is time to get another axle. I could be fixed with a new band, but you have to wonder how much grease is still in there.

How many miles?

Cause my stock one is doing tht also but it's not tht bad.
I think you'll be fine but just keep an eye on it

On second look it's leaking and going everywhere huh?
If you have the funs, you can either replace the axel or I can tell you how to change the boot

My is doing the same thing. Never done that kind of replacement. Doesn't look fun

ill probably replace that axle, cause there is a lot of grease coming out, made me wonder really if there is anything left inside.

i'm drowning with that SVT, my funds are tight and there is always something to buy, have engine mounts + some stuff on the way from Tousley, and monday i need to order all four struts&shocks, and ASAP rear right wheel bearing and probably hub too, because there is a loud knocking noise at highway speeds, and the whole wheel has significant negative camber angle.

oh.. and gearbox... nothing like trying to get good gearbox for this car


ahhh.. there is nothing like owning SVT. but i still love that blue bitch ;)

its not hard at all to replace the boot.... it might just be the clamp, it might of broke or come loose, which is making the grease fly out... if so, just need a new/better clamp.... run u finger around that boot and see if u feel any gashes/slits/holes.... and check the clamp and see if its loose or moves pretty easily, u shouldnt be able to move it at all....

The SVT is a high maintenance car. I wouldn't recommend it to the average car buyer, it's more of a enthusiast's car. Replacing the axle is easy, or you could repack the boot, it's up to you. I also know how you feel, I'm needing more and more things for mine.
