The fluid level should be level with the fill hole. Or that's how it is on the MTX-75 and that's what I did on my SVT when I refilled the tranny after putting it back in.

so what fluid would you recommend, I can't find the Motorcraft's anywhere, thinking about that Royal Purple but wanna know what you think before I buy it.

The most common response you are going to get is to use the Motorcraft fluid.
I've used both Royal Purple and Mobil 1 synthetics and they seem to work just fine.

then again where do I get he Motorcraft fluid? autozone-like stores don't have it


i spent all day reading about transmission fluid, and which one for SVT.... and.... daaaam that ain't easy, dealerships say one thing, manual says other thing, Royal Purple have their own opinion on SVT, and formu members... as many opinions as people posting. ffs :P
