when Chris shifts into 2nd, it grinds some unless you let the rpm drop to under 1500. i even tried it out (having driven my svt for almost 4 years now) and it did it to me. i was thinking about it all night and the ideas that i came up with were:
1. clutch pressure plate
2. flywheel...

any tips?? (i'm lazy and haven't checked the svt threads or even searched)

Have you tried pumping the clutch a couple of times then trying it again?

That's one of many tests. That tests the Slave cylinder in the clutch assembly. Happened to me back at the 125K marker.

When was the last time the Tranny Fluid was changed? And how many miles are on the SVT?

it has like 90kish

i will try that on saturday. he just picked up it about a week ago and doesnt know the history that well. he has the carfax, but not sure of maintenance records..

Since I totaled the Kona it became a no-go. Maybe next depending on what happens/gets done to the "5".
