Inspection is all dependent on the mechanic you visit for it.

I have gone to one mechanic who didn't pass my car because of my tint and other things.

And then go to another mechanic and everything is fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

that gets you a SAFETY ONLY inspection. If your car is in or around an emissions county, it is a DIFFERENT STICKER.

be careful about that becuase if you get pulled over and your address on your license is an emissions county, your FUBAR'ed (so is your inspector).

That is not something to mess with, as that is Texas DPS (state troopers) that deals with that stuff, and they crack down HARD on that.

well everything is good here, i didnt use any hook ups and im now texas plated with no hiccups at the dps today! i is satisfied :)

Ah man I just passed the other day and it only took 2 tries lol WAAAHOOOOO!! Don't worry as long has your check engine light is not on then you should pass. I've passed for 4-5yrs now, even get a free car wash. A lot of places don't enforce or even know what a focus should look like under the hood.

I'm pretty sure DPS isn't watching a focus forum (no offense) for registration laws. I have lived in southeast texas, houston, pasadena, friends wood, and now San Antonio. I have also ALWAYS had the same type of sticker..... I never said in what county or city, or the actual business that has the fine pleasure of taking my money. So what does it really matter that I am talking about a hook up?

Texas Due Now stations are more stringent than other places like Midas, etc.

I get mine done at the place that does my oil changes. They maintain the car so if it doesnt pass then they are partially at fault.
