shorty antenna svt..

I used to have an FC shorty on my old Focus but prefer the stock antenna cut down. Have you considered that?

is it hard? how can i do it cause id love to save the cash..

Click this LINK for a great "How To" on this. I have done 2 of these so far, no problem. But all I did when I did mine was (1) Look at the tip to see how far I could probably cut the shaft down and still get the tip back on then measure the shaft. (2) Boiled the tip for about a minute, placed a towel over the tip and used pliers to loosen it a bit, pulled tip off by hand. (3) Cut the shaft at predetermined point with really sharp cable cutters but be warned that using these will cause the shaft to split some, the tip on both of mine covered it up well. (4) Jimmy the tip back on shaft. Hopefully it's still warm from boiling and shouldn't be hard. Also since the shaft is larger at this point no glue or anything is required. I went with 14" on mine but think that 13" would be doable. I don't listen to radio so I have no idea about reception.
