07 Driver's seat comfort... or rather discomfort.

I've noticed that the driver's bottom cushion on my 07 ZXW SE, is doing something odd and painful on the inboard side -- to the point where I now sense the internal metal tub structure of the seat, especially when cornering. The seat cushion is uneaven, sinking a bit on the inboard side.

This is not comfortable. At all.

I've searched, but can't seem to find if this is a common problem on 05-07 models. What I have found is that the seatback foam is prone to separating, 'exposing' that seatback's frame. Is that probably what's happened here?

I'm not a overweight, but I'm wondering if perhaps the car's original driver might have been.

actually i have heard of this before my friends brother has an 05-07 zx3 and he complained about the same thing on his seat and he said the top of the seat is starting to feel the same way

Yeah the foam on my seat-back split by 25k miles.....fixed it with some glue and extra foam pieces.

I imagine your seat-bottom section did the same thing. You could try to find an early seat in a junk-yard, and remove the foam to replace your split foam. A Ford seat bottom would cost a fortune......

The swap would not be too difficult, particularly if you don't have a heated seat or side air-bags. You probably would need to remove the seat from the car. I fixed my seat-back foam in the car. Good luck....
