im willing to bet that the car looks better in person than it does in these pics, so ill wait even longer until jan-mar of 2011 to hold "final judgement", but as of now... no thanks. im damn sure it looks better in person tho, i didnt like the new taurus in pics but when i actually saw it i said "its beautiful!"

when i first saw it i actually thought it was the redesigned hyundai elantra. not sure why, but it looks like it should be wearing hyundai/kia badges instead of a ford badge. the interior is great and looks better than everything in its class, hands down; it should have no problem with being the class leader in technology from those interior shots.

see look at that, im already starting to warm up to it! i bet it would look nice with blacked out internal headlamp bezels, some mesh badge-less grills, nice subtle ground effects and an aggressive rear spoiler!

I like it better than the last body style,But Im still not impressed.
Lack of a performance model is just a kick in the ass from Ford.
Thats why I dont drive my 07 st.
That way I can keep a brand new 07.....Forever!

^ A performance model can't be justified unless sales of this retool can support SVT to come up with something decent to play around with.

Thanks Ford!

I like the design overall very much!

The aftermarket will have a field day with this car I think. Lots of opportunity for those M3 front fenderes, lights, mirrors bumpers, lip kits, turbo options, wheels, wings- whatever!

A true successor to the First Gen! Did you guys read the part where they said 25% stiffer body structure?! That is impressive considering the Focus is known to have a really well put together unibody in the first generation already.

Very excited!

I think it really looks awesome, I can't wait to get one. This alongside the Fiesta, Ford really has a solid lineup in the small car segment. Now the only decision will be how big a car do I need. It will nice to be able to compare the size of the Fiesta versus the Focus, especially for interior and cargo room.

6 speed manual or 6 speed auto. so there is indeed one. i'd imagine it'll be offered across the line at least in some small numbers.

as for everyone hollaring for a performance model, give it some time. how often does a car come straight off the line with a performance model? that's not a sports car or some other car that's being highly touted for its performance. it'll come probably 2-3 years down the road. with a turbo'd ecoboost.... hehehehe

glad to see the car getting such reviews from everyone in the focus world. seems overwhelmingly popular.

and to whoever said it a few pages back, i agree on the lower grille. the 3 section grille isn't getting as much love from me as the rest of the car, and definitely would've looked sharper i think in that same shape as one whole section.
