That's not a wagon.
And we're getting the C-MAX, so there's no real market for a wagon in the US.

Looks good even assuming that it's dressed in base trim. Those mirrors have to absolutely go!
And if we get the 2012 Focus, I'm going to be seriously pissed if they overlooked the rear wiper issue. If I pay >20k for a turboed ST hatch, that stinkin' rear wiper BETTER clean that back window!!!!!! |

The wheels on the new '12 Focus pictured above look possibly like what might appear on our 2012 Focus SE trim here in the U.S. They look really nice and attractive but not exactly high end.

I've pretty much given up hope that Ford will ever offer another 3-door subcompact. The coupe is reserved for the Mustang, and that's it. If it's not happening with the Fiesta or Focus, or even the upcoming ST... chances are it's not gonna happen anytime soon. At least in the US. I guess it's all about streamlining the expenses of production and offering as few options as possible (or creating packages).

Currently there is only one mid-sized wagon which starts at about 20k for sale in America – the Jetta Sportwagen. That car had sales of almost 17k from Jan-Aug of this year. Which isn’t a lot, but compares favorably to the Mazda5, which had 18.5k in sales all of last year. There are a plethora of mid-sized wagons starting at say 28k. Note that I’m excluding quasi-SUVs like the Forester, which is probably cross shopped with the Jetta Sportwagen. But I also need to exclude hatchbacks like the Focus hatchback, Golf, etc – which are quite a bit smaller behind the rear seat. Sources: Mazda5 sales in 2009 were 18500: http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2...new-model.html Jetta Sportwagon Jan-Aug 2010 sales 16800: http://media.vw.com/press_releases/v...-to-date-sales |

Seems like the new Focus will be too rich for my blood. Might as well go for the V6 Mustang at that point.
