I really hope we get some molds for the new Focus at work. It would be cool to be a part of making it.

I was considering waiting to get the 2012 rather than the '11.

But my free 02' Taurus that was handed down from my father just keeps falling apart and I didn't want to dump anymore money into so I settled. Plus is painful to drive lol.

But also rumoured price wise its going tobe more expensive. Mine cost $19,900 on the road and they gave me $2000 for the Taurus so $17,900 total. ( Canadian Dollars)

I doubt you'll find a 2012 for that price.

No, probably not. The 2012 focus will be a much much better car. You get what you pay for.

A base 2012 Focus S should start right around $17,000 USD. I'm getting an SE 5 door hatchback w/Powershift so I'm guessing the msrp will be right around $19,500 - $20,000 USD. Of course, I've never paid msrp for a car so this doesn't really mean much and the "s" in msrp simply means "suggested". The Focus is a mass produced car.
The new Focus's are expected to be priced competitively. As stated above the new 2012 Mk3 Focus is going to be a dramatically improved compact car. It will most likely be like nothing we've experienced previously in the C-segment here in the U.S. and Canada. Our friends to the south (Mexico) already have the excellent Mk2 Focus. Heck, even China got the Mk2 Focus.

Money. Ford said it would have cost too much to update Wayne Assembly to produce it. Michigan Truck's retool, now Michigan Assembly Plant, is being paid for by low-cost Government loans.

Thanks Carl for posting these excellent pics! This is the exact Focus that I want in the same color (I believe that's Kona Blue Metallic). This looks fantastic! I love it, love it, love it! This Focus has my name all over it.
