I will add another fail I've seen rear it's head. The shifter needs to sit back off of the console more. If you're sitting with the car in park, you're going to have a hell of a time accessing all of the climate control options.
That is kinda close,isn't it??

You're entitled to your opinions, but I agree with Carrera26. There's nothing new design wise here. It could be a Mazda 3 or any other Eurobox design from the last year.

I'd hoped for something a bit edgier. For example the latest Ford Fusion has a distinctive design direction.

Now something like this would have been so much cooler

I want that steering wheel! Honestly I love the way it looks, but I'm not very excited about the power train. Ford had all this press on there "new" differential and Eco-boost, yet we're not seeing it. I think not putting more power in the current coupe was a big mistake. I truly hope they don't make the same mistake again

Anyone else notice that the ignition switch is pretty much the same as it always has been?

When the original Focus showed up, it sent ripples throughout the automotive community, and in the eyes of many put it in the same breath as the Corolla/Civic. Few if any people said that about the Escort (though they were good cars).

Will the new-gen Focus have the same impact? Only time will tell. I'm glad to see we can still get one with three pedals under the dash.

There's a 5 door hatch, what are you talking about?

There's a 5 door hatch, going to be a 3 door eventually. And a convertible sometime I think, don't have any idea if it'll be sold in the US but maybe. Soooo, read stuff before you just consider something a fail.

And you should have waited and bought a 2011 V6 Mustang if you're going to say that then...
