Problem is the gearshift looks like it's an obstacle to instant access to the HVAC controls.

Oh well..I guess I'm gonna have to wait what the Focus withOUT the MyFord feature looks like

Our staff photographer who shot these images says the front seats were in a "normal" position and he had about average to mediocre room in the back seat but said it was better than the mazda3.

Don't know what this really means though..never sat at the rear seat of a Mazda3 before

Before we didnt get an rs for the simple fact that we didnt have the same focus as the rest of the world. Also the taurus sho is the same price as a gt500? Just because something is the same price, performance oriented or not doesnt mean it competes with the other. The mustang is a rwd pony car amd the focus rs is a hot hatchback. And theyll handle and drive totally differently. And it wont compete with the v6 either bc again its a totally different car. People do buy cars for something other the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.
The Taurus Sho is a completely different car than the GT500.

The Focus RS isn't a completely different car than the Mustang. Okay, okay, sure. They're on entirely different platforms, but they're both two-door sports cars. Practically speaking, the only difference is that the Focus RS has a hatch and the Mustang doesn't. And this is America, remember...the place where people don't give a flying about hatches. The only people who would buy a 300HP Focus RS are the few people on here who actually make enough money to do so and a couple of guys watching Top Gear.

I wouldn't even buy a Focus RS. 300HP in a god-damn FWD car? Uh, no thanks. If I had about 30 grand in my pocket I'd go buy something that wouldn't torque-steer me into a ditch.

In the end I think that we'll see a Focus performance version in America and in Europe that is pretty much dead-on with the outgoing Focus ST in Europe in terms of performance.

Top Gear seemed to do pretty well not torque steering into a ditch
30 grand for a brand new FWD car with 300HP that can keep up with a Ford GT in the twisties? Yes please.

People need to understand that the focus RS is not a Big production car... there is a few thousands of the...offcourse that not all of us (hopefully yes) will have a chance to have one of them, is not a mustang, it will never be, and it doesnt compete in the same market... is like the VW R32 and the GTI, the R32 is kind like a special editon car, high in price but same market, simply that is not for all kinds of people, unless that you are willing to pay for it.

an ST or SVT is more the market of sport version of the focus, the RS is just the High End of it.

I think he meant that's why the Mustang didn't get replaced by the Probe... because the letter-writing and general uproar convinced Ford that maybe there was still a market for the traditional Mustang after all.
