Question STS or springs?

I have enough money to get either a good STS (steeda probably) or a set of eibach or other springs. Which one would you guys pick and why. Remember i have a reg. Zx3 not an SVT so springs would help out quite a bit.

Springs, I can't stress this enough. I got both the Steeda STS and the Eibach prokit springs. IMO the Eibach prokit springs is my best mod yet. Amazing difference on both looks, handling and performance. The STS will just give you a more sporty feel in shifting and that's it. It does look better than the stock shifter also.

One other thing, the STS is way way way cheaper than a set of Eibach Prokit springs, way less than half the price......

Oh yeah and my friend just cut his stock shifter in his focus and re-threaded it and it's damn near the same as the STEEDA STS in feel and height. Not as smooth but it's close.....

Well the best price I can find on the Eibach Prokit Springs is on madperformance.net with free shipping I believe for $199.99US

The Steeda STS off www.steedafocus.com is $159.95 plus shipping..... ??? why so expensive?

Go to the Canadian Steeda site below... just over a hundred.....

I'd go with the shifter. If you want to do springs, save up, and do it right by getting dampers as well.

S2: The 02+ shifter is more expensive because it incorporates the shift tower as well. And I disagree about cutting a shifter being the same as the Steeda. The Steeda shifter is re-engineered to provide shorter throws without severally shortening the height.

First thing, the price above in the link is for the mid 2002+ Steeda STS. Second, definitely cutting the shifter is a 'cheap mans' way to do it. On a 2000-mid2002 you will notice very little difference, I have drove both my car (obviously) and a 2000 with a 'homemade' STS. I have also drove a 2003 with a STEEDA STS and there are differences even with that compared to my STS in my 2001.

You definitely got a point with the "doing the springs and dampers" together but you can run the Prokit with the stock dampers no problem, just plan on getting the Eibach dampers within a year or so IMO.....

thanks guys, i think i want the springs (look, feel and the whole package). STS is nice, but i will get some money soon from starting a job here, and then get a STS and later get the dampers/shocks and such for the springs.
