Yeah "Pony" wheels are 91-93 Mustang Gt wheels 16x7, 5 spoke, usually silver but some times chromed.

They get their name from the galloping pony on the center cap.

Thnx Tantalus for the reply, I have the Saleen/Eibach suspension set-up complete with front and rear sway bars, it's a bit of a harsh ride but I don't mind. Those rims, even 17" should be ok then with my drop. Now the chase is on to find some of those rims here in Quebec. Will be scavenging the scrap yards in the near future.

Pony wheels are 4x4 1/4 wich is the same. Ford did not use metric sizing until the SN95. 4x108... is the metric equivalent. That's why Ford wheels are oddball compared to the rest of the world.

The 16" pony wheel did not come out until 1991. They were the stock wheel on the 91-93 Mustang GT. They will bolt onto ANY 4 lug Ford car.(but the offset may cause rubbing)

http://www.mustanggt.org/91gt.htm

The "Turbine" wheel 15x7 was the stock Mustang GT wheel from 87-90.

The Ten hole wheel 15x7 was first available as the stock 85-86 Mustang GT wheel. The wheel was later put on LX 5.0's 87-93. Then in the late 80's Ford put the Ten hole on 4cylinder Mustangs to use up stock before changing to 5lug for the SN95 in 1994.

The Ten hole was also available on the Thunderbird Turbo Coupe.

Over the years switching to Pony or ten whole wheels was one of the favorite mods for Mustangs that were not so equiped. I put Pony wheels on my 88 LX 5.0 (it came with 10 holes).

Over SVT or stock brakes? I doubt very highly stock Focus brakes will rub.

Svt will hit because the "Tubines" are only 15"

Not everybody has SVT front brakes.
