SEPTEMBER RIDE OF THE MONTH(2013)

Member name: DYN085
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Color: Sterling Grey Metallic
Model: Hatchback(Titanium)

Why he loves his Focus:
"I love my Focus because it is the first car that I've modified in depth and through that process I was able to lean on the advice and expertise of some good friends. I'm glad that it's not the typical modified car that you see everywhere, so whenever I pull into a meet or show it draws a lot of attention. It gets a lot of looks wherever it goes ad hopefully generates some interest for the Focus community in a positive manner. Special thanks to Justin (jdubhack), Brian (pyroinsa), Josh (darkangelism), Tom, and all of my other friends that either helped me with design, scoring parts on the cheap, or simply just keeping my plans a secret during the build-up!"

His future plans:
"I'm currently gathering parts to continue my build for next year which will mainly be in the interior - custom audio build, seats, and other subtle touches. I'm also looking at possibly swapping to 19's, upgraded braking, some color changes, and possibly a suspension swap."

DECEMBER RIDE OF THE MONTH(2013)

Member name: WOBBN08
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Model: Sedan
Color: Silver Frost

Why he loves his Focus:
"First of all I want to say Thank you to everyone that voted for me!

I'm not sure I can sum up why I love my Focus... There's a lot of reasons. It's definitely a one of a kind car. I've received so much respect because of what I have done to it, and I have met a lot of amazing people along the way. I will never forget the 1st time I went to a Focus Gathering. It gave me lots of ideas as to what I wanted to do with my car. People obviously don't expect a Focus to have 300WHP either, which is really fun whenever you're faster than cars that it shouldn't be faster than.

That's just some of the ways I love my focus, but there's plenty others."

His future plans:
"As far as plans, well... I put a hole in the block recently. So now I'm doing a full build of the engine, and turning it into a 400whp monster that's going to be even more fun messing with people. :) I'm doing a few other things that haven't been done before on a Focus to add to the list of items I have already done, but you'll see those later on in the new year.

Again, Thank you to everyone who voted for me!"

Why he loves his Focus:

FEBRUARY RIDE OF THE MONTH(2014)

Member name: VENOMROGUE
Location: Dallas, Texas
Model: SVT (3 door)
Color: Competition Orange

Why he loved his Focus:
"I have always loved the Focus. I have owned 9 Foci. And my current ride is a Volvo C30.
http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?t=312928"

His future plans for his new car:
"Current mods on the C30: Elevate intercooler, intake manifold and exhaust. Also has a 3in downpipe and injen intake. Used to have the Elevate tune, but just recently switched to the Shark tune.

Also sits on PB Coilovers, and Bridgestone Potenza RE 97AS tires

Next mod will be the K16 turbo kit, from the Focus RS. The motor in this car is the same as the Focus ST and RS, but the ST has a K04 turbo, and the RS has a K16.

How she sits now:

MAY RIDE OF THE MONTH(2014)

Member name: THENORM
Location: Vancouver, Canada
Model: ZX3
Color: Liquid Grey

Why he loves his Focus:
"Because it's different; it's the underdog. It's style is timeless and I feel has aged very well. There are millions of VW's and Civics out there, but very few Foci that have been modified and raced. Also, I love the handling, it's so nimble and agile."

His future plans:
"The car is essentially done appearance and performance wise. I have some SVT mirrors and a SVT wing to put on, thats all. I plan to continue racing in FSP for a few more seasons (until I run out of my stock of Hoosiers) and daily driving it. If this engine lets go, I would consider a 2.3L swap. I would also consider taking it off the street and caging it to do time attack and hillclimbs."

JUNE RIDE OF THE MONTH(2014)

Member name: GAV-O-SVT
Location: Concord, California
Model: SVT (3 door)
Color: Infrared

Why he loves his Focus:
"Why do I LOVE my Focus?.... Where do I begain? My SVT has hands down been the best, most reliable and most fun car I have ever owned. From the styling and the snappy SVT Zetec engine down to the stylish and comfortable interior, the SVT Focus really is the complete package. With a little bit (or a lot of bit in my case) of modding, you can turn this little econo box into a real sharp road killing machine. Modding my cars has always been a passion of mine and I have put my heart and soul into my SVT since day one. I love the looks and the double takes I get when I pass people by, I always get asked "What car is that?, It looks great." I am proud to be the owner of a SVT Focus and I plan to keep it running strong for many years to come. I LOVE everything about my SVT Focus and find myself growing more and more attached to it day after day."

His future plans:
"What are my future plans for my SVT? It is hard to say exactly where I want to go from here at this point. I have pretty much done full bolt-ons as far as the engine goes and I would have to say that my next step would be to go forced induction. Living in California I am limited to my options as smog here is almost impossible to pass as it is, so I would have to stick to a Power Works super charger to stay smog legal. I am running a off road pipe but that is easy to swap back to the cat when the time comes. Finding a decent PWSC is a impossible task in itself. They are very illusive these days especially as a comple kit. Besides going FI I plan on doing some minor body work and getting a new paint job. I am always thinking of new mods and projects for my SVT and only time will tell where I decide to take it from here. One thing that I can say for sure is that there is no other SVT out there that is like mine, I always have a way of putting my own personal touch into it. I can guarantee that I will keep moving forward with my SVT and eventually transform it into a spectacular yet tasteful piece of automotive artwork."
