Thats my point, you'd need a lot of light to see it from the drivers seat. Post up pics from the seat if you can.
I now drive a Japanese Ford.

Well if you don't want it to bother the passenger you can wire it into the domelight dimmer. The domelight turns off in 12 seconds anyways, it shouldn't take you that long to find the ignition lol!

With the stock steering wheel, you have to turn it 45 degrees or so to see the bezel.......lighted or not. That's from a normal seating position. Now if you bend over somewhat, the bezel comes into view. The LED just brings the key slot into the light.

To this day I have trouble getting the key at the right angle, unless the bezel light is on. The light doesn't bother either me (I can't see it while driving), or any passenger I've had so far.

As to the amber color.....since you usually cannot see it, it would go with any color dash lights. IMO.
I'll keep my guns, my freedom, and my can keep the "change".

Well, I thought I was the only one having issues inserting the key in the ignition switch in a New 2013 Focus SE Hatchback. It is not user friendly... Plus, it looks like it is missing a outside diameter finish Ring... I may try to get a plain Key cut and just leave the Key in the switch.... The Key in ignition idea may not work, a plain Key may open the Focus door, but it may not start it...
Next Idea... Retro-fit to a Push Start Ignition Button...
