I hate to stick my nose in this thread, but the search engine won't let me search for "ZTW" because it's too short :P

-- My local ford dealer has declared that the rear spindle for the SVT and ZTW are the same... Does this mean to accomplish the SVT brake swap on a disc brake equiped wagon all I would need are the shields, calipers (and bits,) rotors and knuckle mounting bolts?

damn.. this all looks doable to me up until the ebrake part I sorta got confused there. Oh and bleeding the brakes, never done that before either.

You need a longer ebrake cable. That is all.

... I went ahead and did the rear brake swap. I have a 2003 ZTW; the only parts I needed were the 2002-2004 SVT rear rotors, SVT rear pads, and the caliper mounting brackets.

The parts department at my local Ford dealership said that the heat sheild is listed as the same part between all rear disc Foci in the previously specified date range.

LIES!

I had to "customize" mine with a coffee can and a 18lb sledgehammer (placed the can on the shield and gave it a couple of whacks so it would bend out of the way by the 5mm that was neccesary.)

At any rate. I'm noticing that there's unequal force being applied to the driver and passenger side brakes ONLY when the emergency brake is engaged... (the passenger locks up the wheel before the drivers side by a fair bit.)

... Anyone know how to remedy this?

Great thread, do you mind me asking but rims do you have and what size are they?
I saw similar rims if not the same ones on a site.

Thanks man.

What does it cost to do a full SVT brake swap? I have a 2007 and I hate the look of the drum brakes. Great Work to, BTW.

Nice Writeup.

I was talking to my tech on the weekend and we were talking about doing this, looks like its time to start collecting parts.
