doing stealth cai

ok, so tonight, i decided to go ahead and do the stealth cai found here: http://www.ineedawebsite.com/Blazing...lth%20CAI.html

well, the article doesn't take into account the Automatic transmission cooling lines that go to the radiator. so i had to go and buy some various elbows, and the 90 degree one seems to be fine, however, the 90 degree has a 3 inch diameter, the maf tube is 3 1/4.. so tomorrow i need to try and get some sort of rubber clamppy thing...

I will keep ya posted..

(Got all the parts (Spectre) at checkers btw

so your posting to let us know you need a coupler?

and if you search, you will come up with other threads talking about the cooling lines and the stealth intake

i did a search and found nothing.. thanks though..

the store did not have a 3" to 3 1/4 or 3 1/2

They had a 3" to 3" rubber piece. I am stretching out the piece to fit it around the MAF tube.

Got a question though: What is this?

its on the resonator above the MAF tube.

I "think" that is a "time to change" indicator for inspection. Ford say some where around 100,000 miles

All, done, that 3" coupler was a pain in the butt to get it on the maf tube... then getting the 90* elbow, then finally the filter.

Yeah i know that is weird...

anyway

The car sounds a lot better, more raspy at the top of each shift. Definitely more torque-y, but probably as a result of better throttle response. At WOT, the shifts are really smooth and faster it seems. Also, making it downshift then up shift quickly, followed by a downshift into WOT: It does it without the hesitation it use to have.

You will notice a difference for the better.

Definitely worth $45.

(YAY my first mod)
*excitement*
