The progress looks good. And good reasoning on the airbag stuff.

On another note, ah1f39, you made my signature.

ohhh sheeeeeeit thats hilarious XD

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

XD enyways got this done today
-Rear hatch carpet steam cleaned(its drying in the hood)
-Rear lower bench and upper 60/40 is steam cleaned
-reinstalled and greased the hinges for the rear seats
-touched up any crud i dragged into the car with the vacuum

I also removed the Hubs for the front seatbelts where it bolts to the lower frame and wire brushed the corrosion off, sealed the metal with a antirust coating (its also a base primer for paint) then repainted them a nice gloss black (2 coats).. Holy CRAP they had layers of rust on them for some reason o.o

Im going to pull down the headliner ( its hanging off the ceiling in the storage unit to prevent crap from damaging it and just replace the material :) a roll of DIY headliner and spray on glue for $28 Bux.. I cannot unfortunately steam clean the headliner due to the material the backer is and the stuff to remove the marks would destroy the backer and glue (already ordered)
http://www.stockinteriors.com/items....ocus_Headliner

thats where I was going to get the replacement stuff to redo the whole car prior to the accident

I also got a chance to pull down the summer tires and rims for Wagon 3 off the hydraulic cart and clean them

Well as requested heres some pics of the car the way it is now

The dash is pretty much completely reinstalled ( aside to the airbags) all the small covers foot guards etc are reinstalled

The rear seat reinstalled after being steam cleaned and looking good :D

The Badly corroded/rusted Sleeves for the front belt after being wire brushed and painted Black ( the white specs are from the box I sprayed on but it won't be seen once installed)

The new shifter and all the components reinstalled ( yes I have black bags on my seats I dun wanna mess them while working on the car...)

heheheh parts storage.. most of those plastics will either be sold or tossed... there are a few items up there that im keeping like the inner fender wells the bombs (airbags and there at the back covered by the wheel wells) and random parts

The airdrying Rear cargo mat, which will stay there till I can clean the parts in the rear of the car out XD

LOl the adapter that I had to drag around the garage to snap pics
yeah not fun when your trying to maneuver the camera in tight spots

heheh the car with partially removed front end.. its staying off so I can prep the panels to be painted separately and have the whole front clip painted inside and out
-Stupid power cord got in the pic :(

lol I've always been that anal that I tear things apart and clean them.. I hate the detailing jobs ive gotten from shops.. I watched one dude clean my vent covers once by spraying armor all and using compressed air to disperse it ( I think thats when I said I'm not payin for this crap anymore) and started doin it myself ( when I get the time that is)...

Hopefully I can have the wagon cleaned off so I can bring in the blue one in the garage and give it a steam clean and detail :) Ive yet to do it on that car but when I bought it it was Superclean inside (which I was shocked to see)
