01 BBK TB on a 02? will it work??

SO i got a 65mm bbk Tb from a friend, it for a 2001 zetec 2.0, Will it work on my 2002 zetec?? the only difference i noticed between a actuall 02 Cfm tb was it has one little hole next to the main hole instead of three little ones... does anyone know if this will work.. I put it on and my car wont start, it turns but doesnt want to run... my wires and plugs are good ... and when i put stock tb on it works fine. whats up with this thing?

it should work just fine. i don't see why it wouldn't. maybe the TPS off the other zetec isn't mounted right.

I just realized i might have moved the inside rotating part of the sensor when i connected it... would that mess it up?? maybe its keeping the thing closed.

Im going to put a new one on today and try it, could that stop the car from starting cause its not taking in the air through the MAF sensor?

the TPS sensor is like super sensitive, i'm guessing thats broken, especially after transfering htem.

but if its broken wouldnt it not work on the stock throttle body? i put the stock on tb back on when the bbk didnt work, and the car ran perfect.

One big hole next to the main hole instead of three little ones? It sounds like you are describing the idle air control part of the throttle body and it would seem that it might be letting too much air bypass during idle, due to the different size hole, causing it to die. Try unplugging the IIAC and see if it will idle. If that doesn't work, you might want to crack the throttle body open just a little using the throttle pedal, in essence bypassing the IIAC to see if it will run.

it doesnt take much air bypassing the MAF to mess up the idle and cause the car to stall. i would gamble on it being a vacuum leak due to those little holes you're talking about or a bad throttle body gasket.
