The only way your insurance company will shell out for OEM is if you have the OEM replacement part option in your policy. You could talk to them about picking up the extra cost of an OEM shield out of pocket, or if you can find a Ford Body Shop that will mark down the OEM parts low enough to not exceed the insurance company's cut off. My Ford body guy takes care of all that for me. If I needed a part under insurance coverage, he got it at aftermarket cost.
