Climate Control Mode Selector - stuck

The Climate Control Mode Selector on my son's 2002 Focus ZTS is stuck on "floor" mode. Is this likely just a disconnected or broken cable issue? How do I access the cable? Can I remove the dash panel around the climate control buttons to fix? If so, how is this removed? He's bringing the car over later and I'm just trying to get ideas on how to fix. Thanks!

Anyone know? Do I need to pull the radio in order to access and remove the bezel surrounding the climate control?

BUMP!

I need help with this too. The selector is stuck on forward only (the knob rotates and feels perfect and normal tho), and I can't select anything else, and I really need to use defrost. :(

If anyone knows how to fix this, help would be greatly appreciated since I'm not very car mechanically inclined at all.

far as i know the radio has to come out, then the bezel is held in there with a few screws(that you should be able to see now that the radio is out) and some plastic clips, u should be able to pry its off...carefully...
