Angry Tsb 4-12-2

ok, so i go to the dealer last week, with a TSB 04-08-01 (ibelieve it was) that i found on this in a search for the tsb number, which was the clutch flywheel problem in neutral. i took it in last week, told them the TSB i had, adn the one they fixed it on was 4-12-2. the problems they described that they looked at and fixed were the same as 04-08-01, but the next day when i started the car, the rattle was back (it was not when i left the dealer and went hom e for the night). has anyone else had multiple problems with this TSB fix? this mighht possibly be lemon material...

My car is running fantastic since TSB 04-08-1 ... the clutch and all behave like a totally different car ... and that noise from the transmission while warming up or in idle has not reappeared and it's been two-three weeks (knock on wood). The big test is driving Boston to Florida and back next week.

What's does TSB 04-12-2 entail?

heres the printout right off of their service invoice...

"verified concern of rattle noise when clutch is not depressed and gone when depressed. checked for tsb for concern and found tsb 04-12-2 applies. removed transaxle and measured flywheel per tsb and found out of specification. checked throw out bearing, ok checked plate shaft, ok. replaced clutch pressure plate, dual mass flywheel. reinstalled and retested, noise gone."

i told them the tsb i found which was exactly the problem, even printed it off line to show them the step by step procedure (because i had problems with these guys for the YRF0 flash as well) but maybe this is an updated "fix"? i dont know...gotta find a new place to bring it so i can get it right...

I've hadmy tsb service done on this issue for almost two weeks. It seems like it's ok and it should be good. If does turn out to be the worse and I lemon it, What happens to the loan of the car do they pay fot the whole thing and I start of new again or do they just pay for the going rate of the vechile at that time?

Thanks for any help!!

2003SvtFocus...

what TSB number did they service on yours? 04.12.2 or 04.08.1 ? im curious to know if theres mulitple TSBs out there for the same problem (which there must be if tdk says his is running fine after the diff TSB....) i dont know....its going in tomorrow, and hopefully the SVT will be back for the weekend, working properly.

as far as lemon laws, each state is different, you can find em on the web doing a sarch on google, or go to your states DMV...i read over NHs last night, and dont remember every little detail, its kinda rough reading lol. i hate how the laws are worded in such a complicated way

Made it to Florida and the SVT was great! No problems with the transmission, clutch, pressure plate, etc. (Knock on wood, why am I so superstitious?) Had the car running basically for 24 straight hours, 70-95 mph ... smooth and fantastic acceleration when needed ... just a great car! If you have been having "strange" clutch play, the car sticking in gear, the rattling noise when warming up ... you need TSB 04-08-1 ... I had all those symptons and then some, including sub-par performance ... now it runs great! None of those issues. Again, a fantastic and fun car to drive!

Hey, you know, the dealership can make all the difference. I don't service my car at the dealership where I bought it as it's too far away, however, the dealership I use for service (Drum Hill Ford, Lowell, MA) has been fantastic. They believe what you say, they know what's going on, no third degree, loaner car all set (when I showed up in the morning and gave my name, he gave me the key for the loaner and said the parts were on the way) and follow up calls to make sure everything is going well. What more can you ask for?
