Update on the '05 D23. WARNING: Tuck

Figured it's time for an update!

I spent 5 hours today working on the car.

Dropped it all the way around, as you can see...Tucks front and rear by about 3/4", can still turn the wheel full lock without rubbing. Through hub center, ground to fender is 22 1/16" in the front, 22 1/8" in the rear.

Here we are:

Getting dyno'd saturday...but it's not really that fast, the cams aren't timed correctly and it's lacking a lot of the power it should have.

Wheels are Rox RT2's, 17 x 7.5" with a +45 offset. Tires are 205/40/17's. Only downside is the wheels are extremely heavy.

Car is looking rad for sure man. Are those still the D2's that you have had? How much thread do you have left on the front and rear now?

Yeah those are still the D2's. The fronts aren't even halfway down...aka they go lower than you could EVER drive it. The rears I have modified. I had taken the rear collars out (no more threads to go down), and it sat about an inch higher than it does now. To achieve thise height I had a spare set of KW springs with 11 coils, 7 of which were dead coils. I cut 5 of the dead coils off each spring and installed them...and TADA it's tuckin tire :)

Still have my D2 springs, as well as the collars, so I can put the D2 spring back in if I'd like to go higher, or put the collars in and raise it with the cut springs still in.

And no, I don't want to hear any shit about how cutting springs is bad. The 5 coils I cut could be compressed with just my body weight (155 lbs), so they were definitely just for the added height.
