2010 Fusion Monochrome Package

Thoughts?

Body-colored grill
Dark headlights
18" aluminum wheels
Special cloth seats
Sport suspension
Available on SE and SEL

Full story here

And you can configure an SE or SEL with the package on Ford's website to see what the different colors look like. Personally, I like black the best.

Im kinda on the fence with this one. I like the monochromatic treatment, but the new Fusion is one of the few cars that I think look great with a big, chrome grille. Tough call!

That was my first thought, but then I thought about the lower grill on the Sport. It has those chrome bars that continue the lines of the chrome grill that would look out of place with a monochromatic grill.

I'll seriously consider the 2.5 with the 6 speed now that you can get the sport suspension and the 18" wheels with it. With the lighter engine, that combo should be pretty sweet (and 29 mpg highway to boot).

P.S. There's also an "Appearance Package" that includes everything that the Mono package has except the body-colored grill and dark headlights. It appears that, as far as the grill goes on the SE and SEL, you can have your cake and eat it too. Now, if they'd just offer leather with the manual ....

That's actually an easy fix. My mom loves Pontiacs, and bought a Vibe as her last car, (I know it's a Toyota..) and they didn't have the options she wanted with leather. She got them to drop the price $1,000, and had a shop in Muskegon, MI I believe, but leather in it, for just over $1,000. It's waaaaayyyy nicer than the stock leather, (Think Audi, not Pontiac) and she had the option to go two-tone, but she didn't take it. Also for about $200 more they would make the seats heated, and could even make the back seats heated...

Just food for thought...

EDIT* Just looked at that cloth interior, its growing on me!

I'd skip the monochrome stuff and get everything else i.e. wheels suspension

Saw a dark gray one locally. It and the black do look nice.

Smart move ^^ We do a lot of aftermarket leather installs and it's definitely nicer looking than factory, with a ton of choices - color, trim, stitching, inserts, etc. as you noted. About 1K or so, same warranty as factory. Really gives customers like your Mom a nice way of getting the car they want.
