SVT swap would be cool but it seems a D23 might been a little btter since it has so much potential compared to a Zetec but yes It's a getrag 6 speed lol

Yeah, that is true. But finding a 2.3 with a tranny for a good price..... Thats hard to do

Three of everything!!! lol. One of them I am planning on putting in an LSD and the 4.06 gears. I just need to replace the 1st gear synchro and it would be good to go. I got it from another fanatic on here. I helped him replace his transmission (the one I have) with another one because the synchro was shot. He gave it to me as payment. Another one, I have all apart and looks fine. It just has the pre 2002.5 shift tower so that part wouldn't work on my car but the towers I have been told will swap out just fine. I guess I said it wrong. I don't have "3 extras." I have 2 extras and the one in the car. My bad.

Doesn't the MTX75 in the ST have a different final drive ration than in other focuses?

yeah, i know the svt one is way different. The Ib5 i think.... i think..... has taller gearing.... I think....

The ST got the 3.82 final drive just like the rest of the 05-07 Foci. The previous PZEV 2.3s apparently got the 3.42.

I like the 3.82 final drive.... just wish 5th gear was a little taller to keep the RPM's down @ highway speeds but either way fuel economy is still good. Just hate hearing my engine revving beyond 1500rpm to hold 64mph... maybe I am just too used to the mustang gearing?

Answering Josh's call, here. Sorry to check in late, but working seven days a week at two jobs cuts into the FF time a bit. Good for the bank balance, though...I was just able to drop over a grand on a proper snow tire/wheels/TPMS set-up for the SES because of all the work hours. Still saving up for the FRPP suspension, too.
