Drag strip trip

Well a few of us in the local Hampton Roads area went to the drag strip Friday night in Richmond

Here are the videos

My embarassing first drag ever, put the car into second and put hand back on steering wheel and it popped back out......ran a 17.2 that pass but had a
.0231 R/t, then a 15.6901, and then ran 1st gear out on accident and ran a 16.5

my whoops

Abe- Drives a Mazda 3 2.3 MTX- Ran a mustang I believe:

James- Silver MTX ZX3 and Brian-02 SVT:

Brian 02 SVT:

Abe and James ( I believe this is the one where Abe had 15.69 and James had 15.70) Race would have been closer if he hadent fouled, but still good none the less.

Wish i was faster, but for a first time and bald fix-a-flat tires i cant complain

looks like fun. and unless yo uhave a major steering issue then keep one hand on the stick. not bad though i've never run the drag strip in my focus. should give it a try next year.

it was, yeah i did that the later runs. The car has NO sway bars right now due to bushing problems and with blad tires, it has been really really really squirmy, and having not really raced it I didnt know what to expect. I figured better slower time and know what to expect next tim than a wall meeting.

true.
sounds liek you need some endlinks and better rubber.
i'd upgrade teh ways to the eibach or similar set (22mm. front and 25mm rear) with poly bushings. (and it might not pop out of gear, lol.)

i could bench race a well biult zx3 on some drag radials, but that's not like having the real thing in the driveway, lol.
