Fuses?.

Hi folks, i have a focus 1.8 lx 5 dr hatch.

The other day i reconnected the battery and after re-entering the radio code started up and drove off, within 2 kilometres the car stopped twice but re-started and ran no problem.

but after a second reconnection of the battery the car feels like its lost a little engine power and the power steering feels like its off.

Also the daytime dashboard light is off but everything else on the dash works.

A neighbour reckons if i fitted the battery live lead first it will have blown some fuses.

I checked the coloured translucent fuses but cannot tell whether the box type fuses are ok or not.

So, can any of you guys tell me if it is fuses, which ones are for the above probs.

Many thanks, A B.

what you are going to have to do is go in the fuse box and take (one at a time) each and eveyone the fuses and see if they are broken and if they of course replace them...and even check the fuses in the engine bay too ...process of elimanation....
