I dont know thats kinda ify I mean thats true he still has a lot more hp than you but you should have more tq but how much more do you think you actually have? a stock zetec is 130? right and the rsx is 142 so you would have to make a significant gain of tq to really make a good strong start compared to his. My friend has a spec-v with i/h/e and thos cars come stock with 175hp and 180tq and he was bareley able to pull away from an rsx-s with an intake and his spec-v will spank on my 2.3 with i/e and im sure my 2.3 even though less modded would be a good run with your zetec. so I dont know if you would be able to beat him or not its kinda 50/50 I guess how much did you beat him by?

oh well, good kill man. It all comes down to the driver in the end. Maybe he did just suck balls at racing. The average time on Type-S's are 14.8 - 15.3. With just I/E on stock tires, they are hitting 14.3 (i can post a time slip if you want). And with sticky tires and Hondata, they are breaking into the 13's. The base models stock run about 15.6 and with i/e they are down to about 15.3's.
Id still like to see your dyno numbers since you said you had ur car tuned

Well id hope to have a little big more now since i have other stuff done. Plus i have a more tq. I know they have more hp, but tq is what gets ya moving off the line

well now that you have the IM ported you probably have about 20-25 more tq than a stock rsx but about 30 or so less hp so its a toss up but since you have a clutch and flywheel as well i can see it happening if youre a good driver and hes a bad to average driver i think it would be possible but how much did you beat him by? Not too much I would imagine

he said in his first post. Which is why im still kinda skeptical because if you had a car length on him in the beginning (which makes sense due to the trq difference), one would think that the RSX would close that gap through the higher rpms (namingly VTEC).

Thats true too If he only had a car lenghts in front at the begining i would think once the vetec kicks in he would be toast

the torque difference on his focus and a stock rsx are not enough for him to just own him like 3 car lengths off the line once 2nd gear is hit on the rsx it's over his loses. Look what it comes down to is no way in hell does his focus beat rsx type s it just doesn't happen.
On a side note civic hatch my friend looked into hondata and decided not to go with it after reading about electrical nightmares on rsxclub
