i'll have to ask him. He is a buddy of mine. I think 100mph even or high 90's. Focusfreak i know a Focus can beat a stock rsx type s but not without all bolt ons, cams, gears, chip, and tuning. Even that would just make it even.

I agree I dont think a focus with those mods would be able to beat a rsx-s unless he was an absolutely horrible driver and missed third or something. if you place a descent driver against a descent driver in those cars the rsx will win. Now if you had a 2.3 you would have a way better chance I havent raced a rsx yet since i have had my header installed but with intake and exauhst he still beat me. My friend who has a spec-v with i/h/e was barely able to pull on a rsx-s so i just dont see a descently modded zetec doing that either. but i could be wrong thats just my opinion. Oh by the way I have seen stock rsx-s run about 15.8 in palmdale which at anyother lower elevation track would be about 15 flat

here are stats on a stock RSX type S i was right 14.8

http://www.car-stats.com/stats/shows...tsgivenid.aspx

a Focus with all the bolt ons, cams, gears, chip, and tuning will run high 14's like if a perfect driver is in it. Besides that you'll be hitting low 15's all day long. And Focus freak your mods lead me to believe u run low 16's maybe high 15's on a perfect run.

i think with your mods the race seems closer to a re-badged base model RSX with a lot of BS coming from your friends mouth.

wurd but shit if it was a regular RSX 5speed i don't think he could even take that. Maybe if it was a RSX non type s auto he could beat it.

i hear that solaris. But to give him the benefit of the doubt, if he is a pretty good driver and the base model RSX driver was so-so, then I can see the outcome that he stated. But with a Type-S, even if he got the jump on the S it would be hard to believe that he wouldnt start pulling back hard by 3rd gear.

hey FocusFreak, take your car to the track and post up a time slip. I am curious to see what your car can do. The only difference between you and solaris (15.7) is a ported IM and flywheel (plus your pacesetter header).

Umm no i have A diablo chip, ported IM, 8.5lb flywheel, Centerforce Clutch, Cam gears which were tuned by mcnews over solaris. And who is to say he is a good driver from his 1/4 time..... And like i said i know top end the rsx type s would prob get me im sure, but take off they dont have that much tq, and tahts what my focus has over it. I raced him from 0-80 and i had him, now if we would have went from a rolling start from 40-100 he would have got me cause i get all my pick up from take off. Ive raced 2 rsx's, a reg and type s from take off and beat them both, so i dont know what that shows. Maybe that im a good driver?
