Foggy dash plastic?

Hello. I have an '09 Focus. I recently had it detailed and it came back with the dashboard plastic (where the speedometer, etc. are) looking foggy in certain sections. Initially, I assumed it was condensation that would dry out. But it's been a month and it hasn't.
I live in a very dry climate, so nothing stays wet very long anyway. Now it doesn't even look wet inside, just foggy. I'm starting to wonder if the plastic was damaged instead of it being actual condensation. I'm waiting for the place that detailed it to get back to me, but I'm having a bad feeling about them taking responsibility. Has anyone experienced this, and are there any suggestions for me?
How hard is it for a car professional to take that piece off to clean or replace it? Would that be an expensive fix?
I'm really not a handy person and there's no way I'd attempt to dismantle this myself, just in case anyone was ready to suggest that!
Thanks!

Sounds like something sprayed on there from your description, have you wiped at it with anything yet?

Don't know where you stuck photos BTW.

Welcome!

Have you tried cleaning it?
In case they just slobbered Armor All or similar all over it.

It's definitely not something on the outside. It's either inside or the plastic was damaged in some way from the outside that made it cloudy. I tried to clean it.

I have no idea what I did with the photo I tried to upload. Sorry! Newbie here.

I'd be willing to guess they put something on that crazed that type of plastic, you should get on to them about it but that's no fun to have to do..............

Don't be surprised if the entire instrument cluster must be changed to get that lens, or around $400..................they don't want to sell separate parts any longer, only subassemblies of multiple parts............
