A Few SCT LiveLink Helps
Here are a few things that I’ve learned during the tuning process about SCT LiveLink:
• If you’re using Windows Vista, you have to open each of the “Application” files in LiveLink, right-click and open “Properties,” and under the “Compatibility” tab check “Run in Windows XP SP2 Mode” and “Disable Desktop Composition.” You also need to turn your User Account Control OFF in the Windows Security Center.
• Make sure under the “Module” tab that you’ve checked “Rapid Packet Enabled.” This allows monitoring much closer to real-time and makes real-time recognition of an analog signal possible (such as a wideband A/F gauge).
• Under the “View” tab, don’t check “Long Names.” Instead, check “16 Character Names.” This is the mode that Tom uses in referencing the PIDs that he needs data logged.
I hope this helps someone.
