Proof is in the pudding IMO. Keep doing what your doing because it's working.
Seems faster than it should be to me, but I'm slow and only made 3 passes. I managed a 15.5 with a 2.2 60' on snow tires and I've got a decent amount done to my car engine wise. I'm full weight and had 3/4 tank of fuel. So I'm going to say the weight part is where your gains are coming from. Other spots would be rolling diameter (trap speed), and the suspension (taking HP losses out of the equation, movement lost through not moving forward). |

you the orignal owner? how long have you had your focus? were you sure it was stock when u bought it?

yeah id hafta say its the gutted interior also. i heard 100lbs removed is like .100 off ur time. either that or u got a factory freak. lol.

I bought the focus new in 2002 with zero miles on it...and have had it ever since then, so about 7 years. Ya, I cant wait to get cams and cam gears and all the other goodies it should be pretty fast for a N/A 2.0 ltr.

I dont know the exact wieght of my car with everything gutted but when i get to the track next i will see what it is....I know its a hell of a lot lighter than it started.. so my power to wieght ratio has got to be pretty good. i CANT WAIT to get some more serious parts for this fuc and get into the 13's! That will be fun!!!

Cars that are suggesting 87/89 octane are doing so because of the ECU settings, buy a flasher and tune from 1turbofocus and try that run again. I dropped almost a full second with his tuning, granted I use nitrous.
