Help An ICE Noob

Well if you read the thread in MA..I went to a towing parking and found some intersting stuff. Unfortunately..no Focis in the park but I found a good sub casing and woofers on the floor...abandoned.

Can you guys tell me if I can do something with this. Do I need an amp or can I connect directly to my head that has inputs called "subwoofer"???

The piece above is missing on the other side for the other sub:

There was somthing there but have no clue what:

Peace...

i would recommend an amp, though i dont know how powerful, since i dont know the subs. do you have any idea what kind of subs they are? and what size?

they don't look like they are in perfect shape, but i cant really tell anything from the pics.

No brand on the subs. They look in good shape...I still have to hook them up to see if they work. They look like 7 or 8 inch in diameter.

Any help is great....thanks crazy.

Peace...

looks like a road gear setup. its a nice find but i doubt they will sound to good in the car. but as far as an amp just go with a small one that doesnt put out to much. me personaly i would hook it up to my little shelf sytem in the garge to have something to lisen to while workin out there.

but its free...so who cares? yea they prob arent that powerful but they ould always add a lil something to your sound. and hey where you said it was missing, that is where you attatch the wires from the amp to the box. and in this case it seems like they wpuld be wired together so that you hook the amp up in one spot on the box and the power splits between the two. unless there is a straight up hole behind the second sub, then you gotta buy a relatively inexpensive piece to hook the power up to the second sub. peace.

i don't know if you have confirmed if they work or not but make sure to do that. use a 9V battery to touch each terminal and the cone should move outward and it'll probably make a scratchy popping sound. if it does this, they work.

Yea, they'll make your system sound worse. Throw them out. Road Gear = Garbage. Those boxes are no good.
